I liked it less than her other books just because i’m not a big fan of a romance story that covers several years. I did like how Kai was such a stalker lmao. Neva is such a badass and i wanna be like her.

This felt very different to what we’ve had before in this series! It was raw, emotional and then heartbreakingly beautiful.

Kai’s past is tragic, heartbreaking and hard to read at times. You can feel the pain and anguish through the pages. I did love how he was with Nera, he was so protective and had this sweet side that she brings out in him he didn’t believe even existed. But he was also extremely awkward and lacked any kind of social skills which I struggled with even knowing his past. However the way he grew, accepted her love, found acceptance, healing and a home with her was a heartbreakingly beautiful journey. She was so patient with him and the perfect woman to have by his side.

I struggled with this overall as it felt really drawn out. Split into two parts, the past and present, felt like it slowed the entire thing down. There were multiple time jumps yet their relationship wasn’t progressing and very little happened as time went on. She didn’t know his name until after the 70% mark. It then felt rushed at the end when everything came out and I struggled to feel the connection between them. I wish we got more of them when they reconnected, the progression of their relationship felt overshadowed by the other storylines.

A moment for Sergei in this too please, because he’s been one of my faves in this series and the banter with him, Felix and Az in this was top tier. I am very intrigued by Massimo + Zara and what’s been going on with them so looking forward to their book!
