This is 9th book in the perfectly imperfect series. This book can be read as a standalone but this series is so good you would need to read the entire series. Kai and Nera meet as a coincidence when she was just passing by and ended up saving him from a bullet wound. It was love at first sight that is for sure. It's a slow burn but it will be totally worth it. He stalks her for months just making sure she was alright. Nera had big ambitions for her but falling in love with the stranger aka the demon was absolutely not in her books.
This book got me on chock hold I just wanted to know what was going to happen between them. Everything about this book is totally perfection. Nera aka his little cub gave him everything he thought he would never have. Kai never thought he would love as hard as he loved Nera and Lucia. The plot, the storyline and the solution of this is total perfection. As every book I have read by Nera is total perfection this book was absolutely amazing I couldn't put it down. Kai couldn't stay away from even when he thought he did not deserve to love or to be loved. This book is totally perfectly imperfect. I can't wait to keep reading more books by Neva.
This entire series is a must read.

Oh, my Z.E.R.O. boys...
I love all 3 of them SOOOOO MUCH!
From the beginning I was enchanted, but quite honestly I knew I'd love the book before it was even released... and I was right of course because it was perfect. HE WAS PERFECT. My perfect Kai who was presented as the most unhinged of the trio, was as unhinged as promised. With a little twist. The twist being that he was adorable and so hurt, beyond belief, and even though Sergei and Az seemed a little scared of him, to me he was the weakest of them all (HEAR ME OUT!).
Not in a physical or funtional sense but in the sense that Az hated Kruger from the first second and Sergei from the moment when the dead-girls-in-the-basement happened, but Kai? Kai was a child, younger than all of them, the first one in and last one out and Kruger was the closest thing he had to support and guidance and he was a kind of father (in the most un-literral, fucked up sense there is) and that made him weak at heart.
He mentions time and time again throught the book that he has no talents, no skills, nothing to make a living for other than what was forced upon him by Kruger which was to be killer, honed to perfection at that and only that and being cut off from everything and everyone was the last straw as to why he says -repeatedly- that he only has his hair and his Nera as his and only his.
The stoker part was really exciting and the nickname (tiger cub) was a bit to much for me but overall I loved every moment. I think that forever and ever those 3 boys with interlinked stories and pain in their hearts and adoration for their women will always be my favourite books!
Now to get to the real shit. The pregnancy trope in never my favourite, but somehow Neva made it work with the fact that all of Nera's story was enhanced by her change of heart by her determination and strong will and it wasn't too much, rather just a cute little addition to the adorable Kai and his long hair to be braided and adorned with scrunchies and colourful bows.
As for killing her father, I didn't feel it... I expected to be shocked to the bone by Nera's pov but I wasn't and I don't think it was a bad thing because I finally lived the grief through Kai when he finally accepted that he has to accept the Mexico job. That was, I think, when I realised that he has to be gone in order to be forgiven. He also has to hurt in order to forgive himself. And Lucia has to know her father so that should work as a motivational factor, and that was when all the pieces came to fit together in my mind. Kruger being aware of the situation and the killing being his fault is also so much like him...
Last, but not least, I don't think I like the sister very much... ILL READ ANYTHING WRITTEN BY NEVA, but I'm not really hopping around high with joy (like I was for this) for the next (AND LAST?!?!?!?) book of the series...
Side note, HOW AWESOME IS THE NAME Kai Mazur and HOW MUCH OF A GIRLBOSS IS NERA for literally being the leader of a Mafia and being named Donna!
