It would be cool if this was true...too bad it's probably not.

Hodel's thesis in his previous book was that his father was the Black Dahlia killer. In this book, he accuses his father of being a lifelong serial killer with victims in Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Manila. Hodel marshals plenty of evidence, but in analyzing it, much of it takes interpretation and a will to believe instead of speaking for itself.

Slow and kind of repetitive but totally convinced me. I especially like his last section "Murder as a Fine Art" and the handwriting analysis.

Just read this in one sitting... like his others, I couldn't put it down. I'm beyond fascinated that these legendary serial murders may have (very likely) been committed by one person! Yikes!

My brother recommended this one, and since the Zodiac killer has interested me, I thought I'd pick it up.
