Entertaining and it flew by, but it sort of just ended. Great if you just want an easy read for a day, but nothing fantastic.

More like 3.5 stars...it wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad. It was a nice, light read that didn't quite go far enough for me. I wanted more to happen, honestly.

The book overall was an easy read and I did like it, so two stars, but I didn't love it. There was a hilarious monologue about dry cleaners but other than that, it was a pretty standard finding-yourself light romance and was predictable.

Actresses shouldn't write books. Stick to portraying someone else's words.
I don't have time to waste on a book. I used to slog through a book because I felt it was my duty. Now, if it's crap, I snap it shut and move on. I didn't even feel guilt about not getting to chapter three.
Did I miss a fantastic book by quitting? Possibly. I don't care to find out.

Wow, a book about Lauren Graham trying to make it as an actress in New York.

Oh, wait, the character is named Franny, not Lauren. Well, who gives a damn. So, this is a story about Franny trying to get the moronic guy that she doesn't realized is a moron, trying to get a freaking audition before the deadline she gave herself and being adorable most of the time while at it. There's not new in this novel, everything is expected. But hell, this was an awesome read! It doesn't matter if you know how the story is going to end if you empathize with the characters and have fun. And some laughs, because there are some really funny moments. Overall, Franny is just so naïve you just can't help to love her and root for her to succeed. And this is how you enjoy a book, fellows.

P.S: Lauren Graham: write another book or make a Gilmore Girl's movie. Or both. Pretty please...

P.S.2: What the hell! I'm gonna give another star.

Graham clearly writing from what she knows, this story is insanely accurate to the acting industry and the day-to-day life of a new working actress. However there's so much realness to "regular" life as well; I believe readers who've never experienced the same jobs/interests as Franny will find a lot to connect to. It's wholesome, it's real, and so very cozy. I can't wait to add this to my reading journal and save all the usefull life advice to reflect on long after.
