Fascinating concept, though I struggled with its execution. There was some time jumps back and forth that weren't terribly clear when listening to the audio version, IMO. Both Yetu's amaba and Oori mostly got on my nerves, though I was glad to see character growth from her amaba toward the end.

Oh man. I can’t decide if I want more of this story or if the amount that I got was perfect. It felt confusing at times with the style of writing, however, I do feel like the author took the time to connect everything back together. I love that this was inspired by a song and the musicians are credited as collaborators. 

Even though I think the story that was intended to be told was told well, I do want more of these characters.
