was confused by the narration switch at first, but the farther i got into it, the more i understood it, the more i liked it. the setting was vague but in a way that felt intentional and added to the folklore of the story. not a long read but definitely managed to convey a unique and interesting world within its few pages.

The mermaid book I’ve always wanted! This resonated so deeply with me, it was an incredibly poignant study of generational trauma and the value, but also the pressure of community and preserving collective memory. Loved it!!!
