I was enjoying this one a lot until Carly does a specific thing at about the half way point that just made me really hate her, and ruined a lot of the rest of the book. I know it's kind of a thing in Dixon's books that women stop caring about anything except the guy they're fucking, but this is one of those times that, for me, that went too far.

Otherwise though this was fine.

I really liked this whole series but I think this one was my favorite. I adore Kassam and Carly and they balance each other out well. I’m looking forward to reading future stories set in Aos and of the other gods!

World finally came together - adorable couple

What do you get when you put a himbo with a salty girl with ADHD (not officially stated in the book but… if you know you know) ? You get the spiciest Ruby book yet! It was so fun to have a pan MMC and he had such a good growth arc. I was a little uncertain about the moving between worlds as a god thing, but she pulled it off.

Spice: 5/5

Triggers: Listed at beginning of book

i would trade ALL of my earthly possessions for a happy, sunshine god of the wild to show up in my life, resuscitate all of the plants i’ve killed, turn my living room into the stray kitty headquarters, and promise to protect and love me for all of time.

this was my favorite one by FAR of this series — not only is it 200 pages shorter than the other two (the perfect length!), kassam is an ANGEL. this is a sort of reverse grumpy sunshine and truly there is nothing i enjoy reading more than a happy, kind, eager-to-please, joyful MMC. the broody, hates-everyone-but-her is nice, but it gets so tiring. FEEL SOME JOY! give me a man that will eat a stick of butter out of my fridge just because it’s new and exciting to him. give me a man that loves all animals, big and small. give me KASSAM, god of the wild.
