Look at some point in every dystopian series I end up hitting a low point, it’s just not my genre but I keep trying. 😪

Damn. Somehow simultaneously completely  different and totally similar in tone and style to book 1 (whisper). Lots of rewarding twists, turns and complexities, with a very satisfying use of foreshadowing that still allowed for surprises in the reveal.

If it’s possible, the sequel to ‘whisper’, this book is even better. I hope Lynette writes forever because her books are so captivating

Holy. Crap.

Whisper was really really good, but Weapon - wow.

It was such an intense and dramatic story with so many twists and turns and I loved the progression of the main character. I really loved this story so much, I'm sad that it is over but I am just so blown away by just how good it was.

I really wanted to like this more than I did, especially with how much I loved the Prison Healer series.
I was frustrated by the fact that Ward was absent for 70% of the book and he didn’t become himself again until the last 5%. We barely had any time with him, especially after his performance changed in book 1, even if it was to protect her. And I HATE love triangles. We pushed Ward aside for a character who randomly turned into the bad guy at the end with almost zero build up or warning signs? The premise was so interesting but there was so much info dumping and rapid explanations of stuff that happened off page. If this series was longer it might have worked, but I was left feeling disappointed.
