A very short read. More like an extended epilogue than a real novella but if you're a fan of the series and want to read more about Jonah and Vivienne then this is perfect for you. Plus, we get to meet one of Jonah's younger sister, which made me want to read more about her and about Jonah's family in general.

This story was definitely not on par with the other two books in the series. The plot felt weak, I didn't see much character growth beyond what Vivienne and Jonah had already worked through in the previous books, and
the incident at the beginning of the "novella" (it's really too short to be considered a novella, I'd think) isn't nearly as dramatic as it is hinted at in the book blurb.

But I was glad to have more of Jonah and Vivienne's story. And it was worth the read to get to the surprise at the end! I only wish we could have learned more about Jonah's siblings.

A satisfying conclusion to an interesting series.
