AMAZING book. If you love feeling all sorts of emotions, and just being pulled in by a great story, READ IT.

I don't want to spoil anything by explaining the plot, so here is a warning!

This book is about a single mom called Eva, who writes adult erotica stories about vampires lol. She has a tween daughter and struggles with terrible headaches. The story switches from present to past day, going back to Eva's teen life. Struggling with her bad home situation: having a mother who doesn't even parent and cares more about herself than taking care of her daughter. During seven days in june, Eva meets and falls in love with Shane, a just as troubled boy. This book deals with love, pain and so much more.

This might be my new favorite book??? Or second favorite. My other contender right now is Normal People - Sally Rooney. However, that book is NOT diverse and just had white people for what I'm concerned. Seven days in June is also about being Black, which adds extra importance to this book.

I loved the characters even though they're flawed, that's part of how amazing the story is.
