Just read parts of this book as it was not what I was expecting. I never will understand the use of illustrations in a history book when actual photographic evidence can be used. I think photos would have been much more interesting. I never knew the island had such a long history and I thought the chapter on the future and nature (flora and fauna) of the island were interesting.
