This was one of those books that sucked you
in as soon as you start reading it. It was an
amazing book. The way she wrote this book
was so raw. Gypsy and Lucian were so broken
and the fact that they didn't realize how
broken they were until they let their guard
down was in a way beautiful to see. He wanted
to protect her and teach her things that she never
thought she needed, and she thought him that there
was a light at the end of the tunnel. I seriously
didn't mind the age gap, I think it was because
of the way the author wrote them and their story.
A. Zavarelli is a new-to-me author, can't wait to
start reading more from this author. This is definitely
going in my favorite reads of 2018💓

Thank freaking goodness he wasn’t really dead! I was so sad thinking the MMC succumbed to his lymphoma. The story could have been more captivating to me. I wish I felt more chemistry between the main couple. Unusual storyline but I understand that he was ready to see his son on the other side. I’m glad this story had a HEA.
I may have given this 5 stars, if it wasn't for the little while at the beginning when I really didn't like the heroine, or for the short time near the end when I was ticked off at the hero, OR for the far too long time when I was cursing the author!
Won't bring out the lady in you
This book.
Go ahead and do your bank account a favor and buy the paperback. Sure, it's on Kindle Unlimited, but trust me it's cheaper to buy the paperback than it is to replace your phone or Kindle when you throw it across the room.
Maybe skip the hardback as well, patching drywall isn't that pricy, but it's annoying.
I saw all the warnings about this ripping your heart out and "pshed" right past them. Do I regret it? No. It was a well done heart smasher.
Not good reading before bed unless you can sleep in the next day, because you won't be putting this one down once the emotional roller coaster starts.
Good thing there's another book in this series - kind of like a little hair of the dog, but for books - because this book hangover would have been brutal.

Sooo...
I started this book and was super excited because I LOVE this author, her Boston underworld series is amazing and my top favorite series. Once I was about 40 % in I was kinda getting a feeling about the ending and was not super excited about it..so I was very hesitant to continue, but I figured, hey, this is A, ya know? It will have to be good, she won’t let me down.
And. She. Didn’t.
I cried. I laughed. I rejoiced. I yelled and hated and then I loved. The journey was messy and unconventional, a little dark, but it was amazing. 5+ stars, I highly recommend this book and am so grateful I stuck it out. Anything you read from A will always be amazing, so take a shot and read her books, you won’t regret it!

It took a while for me to get into this and it’s not usually my style but it caught me somehow and really got in the feels
At this current moment? I have two words — emotional roller coaster.
Gypsy and Lucian are two misunderstood individuals who didn’t know what they were missing until they met each other. I’m a Zavarelli fan so I knew I would fall in love with these characters. I read this book without reading the blurb and it was honestly the best decision I made. This book wasn’t the steamiest but it made me feel things and automatically made me invested in the character which is a factor I love in all my reads. The characters had depth to them and I desperately wanted them to succeed
