A lovely easy read to take your mind off the daily stresses of life.
I mean, seriously, how could I give a book narrated by a dog less than 5 stars !

I LOVED LOVED LOVED this book! It had me smiling, crying, on the edge of my seat, laughing.... I could not put it down. I just love how W. Bruce Cameron can write “like a dog”

I’ve adored every book I’ve read by W. Bruce Cameron and this one is no different. The sad parts always get me though

I enjoyed the ride of this book, which, of course, made me think of my own dog. I deduced one star, though, for a weird moment. I don't know if it was a genuine error or if it was on purpose, but a few paragraphs appeared in the stort twice, word for word, only a couple of pages apart. It was confusing either way.

I hate when a blurb practically ruins a book which is what almost happened with this one. Don't read it the blurb! It covers way too much of this book, so the first 150ish pages are slow and boring because you're still waiting to get to a part you don't already know about. I know authors don't write their own blurbs, but man, this one almost had me DNFing (quitting) the book at 100 pages.
Once I got past the 150 page mark, the book really picked up, and I found myself enjoying Bella's journey. She has so many different experiences which kept me engaged, and I liked that she would think about those different places and companions from time to time.
If you don't want to read about humans that are terrible and treat animals poorly, then this might not be the book for you. Granted, there are loads of good humans in the book as well, but there were some characters that are supposed to and did make me so mad.
So because I wasn't enjoying this for almost half of the novel, my rating was lowered, but I did end up enjoying the second half a lot. If you avoid the blurb, you may like this even more than I did!
