My rating system being based on how much the author convinces me to root for the main characters may be flawed, but I own up to my flaws and stand by them! And Kenna King wrote two characters that I could not help but fall in love with. When it comes to FMCs, I love a strong & independent woman who doesn't actually need a man... and Peyton is that girl. She lost both her tennis career and her father, but she pivoted to a new dream and was actively making steps to further that career. Then we have the absolutely DARLING Hunter Reed. Sure, he made an atrocious first impression, but we quickly see that he's an absolute gem of a post-it note-leaving, scavenger hunt-making, wheelchair gifting, sentimental plant owning,
penis molding
human being who is also a dedicated adoring son.

And then we get to the tropes. I honestly did not think I was heavily into any specific romance tropes, but along came this book. Apparently, the combination of enemies (to friends) to lovers + fake dating + forced proximity/one bed is IT. I was fully giggling and kicking my feet.

I have far too many books on my TBR to say this, but I would 100% re-read this one!

Yes Kenna you did it again!!  I love this series, love this book and love Kenna King!!

Hunter mistakes Peyton for a puck bunny and ruins their first meeting.  Now he needs her to save him, but it will cost him.  Think washing a car in winter in Speedo and crocs cost him!! This book was sweet and sexy!

Peyton just needs an interview from Hunter to score her podcasts success, but will she sacrifice her peace and home to do it?

I love a good fake dating and when he realizes why it  never worked with anyone else… chefs kiss!  The found family is top tier and this series is awesome can’t wait to see who falls next!!

Absolutely loved this book! It was so easy to dive into and get swept away by the story. The mix of plot and spice was just right. Book 3 can’t come soon enough!

*I was given this book as an eArc but my review is based solely on my own thoughts and opinions*

I read the first book in the series and liked it a lot, but so far and this has been my favorite! I have read a lot of fake dating tropes, and many of them seem more than a little bit contrived/a bit flimsy, but the plot of this Kenna King's fake dating was on point. I gobbled up this book in a matter of days - and if I didn't have to sleep and go to work I probably would have read it in a day, it was that good. I felt like even though Hunter was a bad boy, his character was so well developed. I loved all the banter, the cute sticky notes, and the plant child - hilarious! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is that I don't really love the lack of communication that leads to the third act break up - that's probably one of my least favorite things in romance books. Otherwise this was a great book!

Peyton and Hunter are going to live rent free in my head for a while.

This BOOK. KENNA!!!! I was sat the entire time.

Peyton is trying to get her podcast to a new level with a syndication deal. & I am going to be honest, I looked up what a syndication deal meant because 1, I am not a podcaster and 2, I felt like it was important to understand the drive for Peyton. For Peyton to land this deal she needs an interview from Hunter Reed.

Their first encounter didn't go quite well and neither did their second If I am being honest. The man puts his foot in his mouth more than I can count in the beginning of Bleacher Report. Peyton held her own on all counts.

Hunter the broody, tall, dark, and overly handsome hockey start of the Hawkeyes. This man has got some secrets and it's mostly why he doesn't want to do interviews or press. Which I completely understand. These two see each other at a charity auction (days after Hunter tries to apologize) and when Hunter sees his ex he has to ask Peyton for a deal. Something mutually beneficial for her to agree.

Hunter's Ex is a gnat this entire book. Her intentions are not always clear and to be quite honest she is a bit obsessed with getting Hunter back to New Jersey (where his mom lives). Throughout the book there is a pull for Hunter to go back home because he doesn't think his mom is being 100% honest with him about her cancer.

Between the interactions from Peyton and Hunter.. at her home, to Thanksgiving and Christmas everyone around them can see it isn't fake. The post-it notes, the scavenger hunts, the plant, Sproutacus.. every moment in this book is what makes it great. Sometimes IT IS the little things that add up and create a foundation for a couple. It cements their commitment to one another and shows that acts of service and having a little fund goes a long way.

Kenna you did an amazing job and I loved this book so much!~

DNF at 35% — I’m sure this is a good book to others but I am just not interested enough to keep trying to read it.

Enjoyed this book so much it was a great change of scenery. It was more focused on them other than things they do which I don’t know whether to appreciate or what but I was hoping on seeing what they do outside of each other but I guess that’s what every other book I’ve read does but like I said great change of scenery

Bleacher Report by Kenna King ✨️ arc review ✨️

I need to know what Kenna King sprinkles in her books, and can I get some PLEASE 👀👀 We have a fake dating, strangers to lovers set up and this book dressed for SUCCESS 😩 One they had probably one of my favorite types of meet cues.... the mmc literally saying whatever flippant sentences he wants and the fmc biting back with twice the energy 🤭🤭 if that doesn't SCREAM "romance" I don't  know what will ya'll!!

They had a bit of a rough rocky start , and their talk fast negotiations at the auction had me REELING 😂😂 but it was fun to watch their relationship flourish. I loved Hunter's little riddle scavenger hunts he left for Peyton. I thought that was a super sweet aspect of their getting to know each other/relationship. It's funny because throughout the book, I found myself melting at the little things they did for each other. It was just so wholesome to see them get to know each other and slowly fall for each other as their time together went on.

I can't ever get enough of the found family vibes these books/series give to the readers. Also, the wags need their own podcast at this point because they have so much tea all the time, and it's actually hilarious 😂😂

This book was so much fun to read, I love this universe Kenna King has created. From her amazing characters to the vibes it brings to the function, I couldn't get enough, and the book was read it a day and a half because I practically devoured it 🤭🤭🤭
