This book was much better than I had anticipated. Having never watched a single episode of Mayberry my neglected childhood was not familiar with the ethos of the show or its cuisine. But..there are some great recipes here, along with cast profiles and even episode excerpts. I mean, where else can you get a recipe for alligator stew? Now i know.
