This is the romance between a prickly farmer who is raising his precocious young niece and his high school best friend who returns to town to claim her step-grandmother's estate. Noah is trying to avoid Shay and his old feelings for her. Shay's trying to figure out what comes next after being left at the alter while also needing to be married within a year to keep the estate. Gennie (the niece) is part pirate part six-year-old who brings humor to the story. If that description doesn't have you wanting to read this book, I don't know what will or what's wrong with you. ;) In a Jam was a GEM of a romance. It had me laughing, smiling, and swooning. It's exactly what I've come to expect when I pick up a romance novel by Kate Canterbary. It had me hoping there would be more books in the lovely Friendship setting. SO DANG GOOD!! Go read it now.
