"In a Jam" treats readers to blend of tender moments, witty humor, and lighthearted charm. Shay and Noah navigate the complexities of small-town life, family obligations, and second chances at love.
Additional tropes in this novel include:
** he falls first
** friends to lovers
** single guardians
If you've read Lucy Score before, you will love Kate Canterbury. Her books are thick like Lucy's and have layered stories (think B plot).
I struggled with the repetitive writing in this book, which made it difficult for me to really dive deep into the story and love it as much as I had hoped.

This was exactly what I want in a fluffy romance - funny, adorable, fantastic plot, and the smut was excellent. I laughed, I cried, I gasped, I sat shocked....this was just absolutely amazing.
Romance is not my genre but man I really did love this - the cursing 6 year old, the high school to adult 2nd chance romance, the small town antics....seriously it just ticks all the boxes!

Wasn't expecting to enjoy this nearly as much as I did, but I'm an absolute sucker for found-family dynamics. This book had a lot of things I love - pining, marriage of convenience, fat rep (or at least plus rep), protective dynamics, healing from past traumas, a cooky ensemble.
One of the better romance books I've read in a long time. I could see myself going back to this one.
