Not a fan of the politics discussed, rich people of color can be just as harmful, even if they do still experience racism. Also the prose at time felt a little too tell. The sequence of events was fun though, I could see this being a VERY fun movie.

I enjoyed the movie references. I don’t know if the social media references will hold up over time. The inner monologue of our MC was quite repetitive. It wasn’t necessary to keep repeating that “I wasn’t acting like a final girl.” Some of the killers methods were very unrealistic. I think it did a fairly good job of cultivating that slasher vibe. The writing was okay, not incredibly impressive, but I enjoyed my time with this book.

This book was awesome. I think it may be considered YA; (I never check that first bc I don't care. If a book sounds good; I wanna read it!) It's a kind of 'final girl' book; & I love this trope! There's a list of horror films at the back which get mentioned in the book; & I seriously think I want to watch a couple of them now. It was creepy & I loved it. Checked all the boxes for me.
