one of the most beautiful written and formatted books i’ve ever read. the looming sense of dread throughout as she falls deeper into abuse was heartbreaking, yet she fills the narrative with reminders that she will be free and it will not last forever. a gorgeous memoir.

The first time I gave this a try, I DNF’d it largely because me and audiobooks don’t gel and I didn’t like the narrator. The same was true this time around, as well, but I loved the actual content and I’m glad I gave it another go. It speaks on the authors personal experience with a domestically violent f/f relationship, but also speaks about what this means on a wider, larger scale. It was very good!

I audibly gasped many times by the description of abuse in the relationship. I've never been in an abusive relationship, and this book was eye opening, sad, tense. I had to press pause on the audibook a couple times

If you've lived through that, I'd be careful about picking this book up. It would certainly be very relatable, but also very triggering

Very glad that this was made. Like the author mentioned, it's very taboo to talk about abusive lesbian relationships, especially in the queer community. Very proud of this author for making it
