An excellent food-based memoir. I loved the conversational, honest tone as Tucci writes about his childhood, his family, his travels to Italy, his time in show business, meeting his current wife, raising his his children during a global pandemic and his battle with oral cancer. This last essay, where Tucci writes about the experience of losing his taste and ability to eat, but not his love of food, is particularly striking.

Each essay is bracketed by a delicious recipe, mostly Italian (obviously) but with a few other standards and classic cocktails thrown in. I only wish the audiobook had come with a PDF of the recipes so I could cook them all.
