August 2023: The fact that this series has pulled me from a reading slump, has me flying through each book so quick and LOVING THEM!? I love the tropes we've been getting and these characters are written with so much charm!

April 2024: forever grateful for the escapism this series provides and how easy each book is to read ❤️‍

enjoyed - but starting to realise i have reservations about MMCs that think they know better then the FMCs and make choices for them, god damn it just communicate and stop weaponising your trauma

also like… she kinda is his cousin

fav quote:
“Don’t you get it, Jas? I’ve seen all the darkest parts of you and I’m still here. I still want more. Stop trying to scare me away. It isn’t going to work.”

Oh I love Sloane and Jasper.

How Sloane has been there for Jasper all her life. How she wasn’t fazed by the trauma he endured and the guilt he’s been carrying around. How she knows exactly how to be there for him.

I was so glad to see Sloane make progress with her self confidence. To see how to make herself happy on her own. And to stand up to her father. She made the most development with the support of Jasper and the rest of the Chestnut Hill crew.

I think I would have liked to see Jasper make some more progress with his own stuff. I am glad he was able to finally make decisions with Sloane, but it would have been nice to see him release some of his guilt.

As usual, some of my favorite scenes were where everyone was together. Love seeing all the couples and the ribbing.
