A quick read but I could have been doing literally anything else with that time…. It’s just so lame? Reads like a high school boy wrote it. Also unnecessarily adds the character trait that the ‘bad guy’ regularly threatens women with sexual violence, no thanks.

As much as I usually enjoy reading a Matthew Reilly book, this one is definitely not for me

I don't think Matthew Reilly has ever spoken to a gay person in his life.

Matthew I just can't quit you.
Thoroughly convinced that Reilly has never met a gay man before – the portrayal of GG probably shit me off the most. Also why is the MC not more upset that her entire family has been killed in the past like 2 hours.
The flashbacks also became thoroughly overused. It was like a bad sitcom episode where the scene ripples.
The most interesting character was the evil brother, Cobalt Black. I really thought Reilly was gonna give us this epic twist where he ends up being the main antagonist instead of the evil Russians. But I should have known better. The lines are too clear. Everything is black and white.
