I want to like this series, but the characters and plots are lukewarm. The characters don't have a lot of personality, the mysteries are solved by others around the principals, and events plod from one to another.

I love this series so much! I had no clue who the murderer was until the very end!!! AND there are movies to go along with them too so that’s a plus!

Man. This book is honestly pretty boring. I liked the first in the series because the mystery kept me going. There’s not really a mystery here. A whole bunch of nothing happens for most of the book. The characters are so very bland. If I hadn’t been listening on audiobook I wouldn’t have finished.

What a delightful, lighthearted read for vacation! Just what I needed after the seriousness of a book about Ted Bundy.

Just like the first book in the series, the author tells an interesting story, but I keep finding myself thinking about how outdated it is based on her descriptions. She writes Aurora like a 40-50 year old woman, not a 30 year old one. She is also not the best at the time passage, I find that the story jumps weeks and months with little explanation of what went on during that time. But I kept reading to find out who the murderer was and what happened to Roe.
