i'm not sure how to really rate this one. i found this bio-medical thriller well written. certainly it was a compelling storyline with very topical medical and ethical interest. i was engaged with the characters: the bad guys were bad, the good guy was good, the femme fatale was mysterious.

but the ultimate resolution left me disappointed, and some of the characters actions didn't seem to make sense to me. like they were events that the author wanted to include somehow because he had written them, then went back and tried to fit them in somewhere.

anyway, in the end i was left feeling a bit unsatisfied. i don't feel like i wasted my time though, i did enjoy the ride most of the way.
