Read for a book club. The audiobook experience was delightful, as the author reads his own work. It felt sincere, and humorous at times. Overall enjoyed chit-chatting with my book club about it!

It is easy to love the main character of this book. He is so approachable in the telling of his story. The Outlander books are all wonderful, but for me, not because of Jamie Fraser. I have issues with Jaime and won't forgive him for the scene where he hits Claire and for attacking Roger. But this book is not about Jaime. I feel that in reading Waypoints: My Scottish Journey, I have received a lovely gift from Sam Heughan.

Loved hearing his story done his own voice. Something about learning about others is very endearing for me. From his dad walking out, to playing Batman, to finally landing Outlander.
