While I couldn’t really ever get into Outlander I still found this interesting. He alternates between telling his life story and telling about his journey along the West Highland Way.

Sam Heughan is a great writer and excellent storyteller. The audiobook is so enjoyable. Full disclosure: I could listen to him read a phone book.

Sam Heughan continues to be a fantastic storyteller. This memoir has a perfect balance of humor and seriousness, and his vulnerability throughout was exactly what I look for in a memoir.
Highly recommend the audiobook. The man's voice is absolutely perfect for audio, surprising no one. The inserts of recordings he made while on his trip were fun little extras, especially when he was venting his frustrations

I adore Sam Heughan and after reading his book with Graham McTavish, I knew I would want to pick up this one. I actually liked this one a lot more. Listening to the audiobook was so much fun and I truly felt like I was with Sam on his journey. He was an absolute delight of a narrator and I thought his stories were interesting and inspiring. I loved the way this was broken up. It was a mix of the waypoints stories as well as anecdotes and Sam's journey as an a actor. I think this book showed a lot about his character and he seems like he would be truly lovely to chat with in real life. I found myself laughing out loud at points while also being so moved by his life. This is probably one of my favorite new memoirs I've read and listening to Sam talk was honestly so comforting.

As someone who is a huge fan of Outlander and has watched just about everything Sam has been in since, this book felt like a deep look into his life. It was very eye-opening to see how his life in his early acting days were such a struggle as he looked for his "big break."
I also recently visited Scotland and saw many of the places and mountains he walked past on his journey and this book made me want to return and hike past them all again
