I still cannot believe how impactful is Backman's writing. When I finished the book, I was happy that I stopped with the crying already.
Ove is a spectacular man and I am so glad that I have met him so many times through life. Now I can just understand him better. I also noticed that there is a movie based on the book, can't wait to see it!

I picked this up as a recent fan of Backman. I didn’t realize until farther in this book than I’d like to admit that it was the book behind a Man Called Otto. Great story.

A simple easy read of a story about a cranky old man and his neighbors. Cute and good for a fluff book.

Prioritized other books for adult summer reading book bingo. Translation had a staccato quality, probably a holdover from the original Swedish's sentence structure. I didn't care for it, and the protagonist was not immediately likeable.
