Honestly, kind of horrible writing, but that’s what I loved about it. Warren is literally the most confusing guy tho until at least half way through if not more. Sometimes he wants her and other times he wants her gone. NO THANKS. But I loved Bridgette, sometimes I want to be like her. Everyone hates a bitch, but loved a challenge and I like that she didn’t change. Super short and easy to get through.

Okay I am updating this after I thought about the book for a while. I hate how back and forth he is. He is what is wrong with every man and it's annoying. The girl, I want to understand what she is going through, but I simply cannot. She is not relatable and she is not cute and unfortunately not a likable character.

I actively dislike this book.

This book is offensive to me: a media-loving 46-year-old white woman who has had a not insignificant amount of romantic and sexual experience herself (and is someone who has also seen iterations of these same characters [and heard their corny dialogue] in the hundreds [thousands?] of B-level rom-coms and rom-drams she consumed during her adolescence and young adulthood).

This book sounds like it was written in 1993 by a suburbs-raised 19-year old cisgender white boy (now a small-gig bassist in Seattle [or Portland]*+).

This book sounds like it was published serially in Maxim magazine.

This book mansplains how to be a woman so that even a mean, self-hating Hooter's waitress will understand.

This book thinks that it can't be misogynistic because it's written by a woman.

This book is wrong to think that.

This book hates women.

This writer hates women.

I hate this book.

*He's recently finalized the divorce from his fourth ex-wife (None of his ex-wives have a nice thing to say about him).
+He still has three roommates.

Warren's narration:
Bridgette is so hot. What a b- oh... she can sure kiss! Like, I mean I unconsensually kissed her, but it was hot~
She hates me! But she's like so hot! The fact she exists must mean she's head over heels!
We had sex 30 times in 21 days! Now we're in love!

There wasn't even the mildly interesting guitar/music stuff from Maybe Someday. No, this was just creepy guy who belongs on a watchlist gets with girl he assaults at one point. The plot can be summarized as 'guy and girl move in together. They hate each other but guy is turned on, too. They have sex a lot. Girl is nervous about her stepsister moving in. Kiss kiss. They're dating.' Spare me.
