Quick read! Really loved the first third of the book and all the elements that mirrored Saturday Night Live. Honestly couldn’t get into the COVID romance; felt a little too-on-the-nose-COVID which heightened my anxiety haha.
Easy, fun, rom com read if you’re looking for one!

Cringe, insufferable, millennial, I’m not like other girls, the covid hookup plotline was not it bruh moment

enjoyed the start but just was so fed up with the main character's insecurity when she acts like such a confident person. The Danny Horowitz rule is dumb and she lived her life by it. Made sense in the beginning but at a certain point it felt repetitive as she kept self sabotaging

I felt guilty, loving reading this easy, fun romance between a heartthrob musician and a cynical writer for a SNL stand-in. But it moved along well and kept me involved and I just can’t be too critical, despite it being a guilty pleasure.

Wanted something light and funny after so much serious nonfiction, but this was jarring and not a good fit for me. Some of the rich people crap that happened made me naseated. Not even any apologia or irony for it, either. I knew the author sounded familiar so I assumed she must have been a comedy writer like her protagonist, but no, it was that she wrote a lot of novels that I had heard of and had no interest in reading because they sounded really bad. I'm not saying I could have written a more witty novel, but plenty of other people have, and I wish I'd read one of those instead
