Ohhhhhhh how I love the women in this book, the religion and war is a lot but I love these characters and the size and detail of the world is amazing — sometimes it was slow

I was a little torn on how to rate this book. It was well written and the tension was wonderfully crafted. The action kept me turning page after page. But character-arc wise it was a little bit of a let down. It felt like everyone was on a separate journeys, working toward separate things. I missed the way all the characters were linked in book 1. Perhaps they will all come back together in book 3.
