Had a hard time keeping track of all the characters lol. Lots of doppelgänger-y stuff is happening here. Character contrasts, statue coming to life, nature as reflection of good and evil/right and wrong/the unheimisch, male narcissism, religious lessons (the "right" woman, temptation and virtue), subversive elements of the "good, righteous" woman... Lots to think about here.
