ARC Copy...oh doodle...that was one of the most violent yet promising starts to a manga series I have ever read to the point, I was undecided on the rating. Other yes there is a lot more blood and fowl language compared to other fantasy manga series...promising world building around the bad witch hunts and the magical "police" force.

Unfortunately, I don't think this manga is really captivating me. It has elements that I should enjoy, but I think the problem is that I've seen those elements in other things and they've been done better or in ways that I liked more than this.
I will say that the art style is very nice and the story seems like it could go in interesting directions. It just didn't grab me personally. I think because I was thinking of things like Miyazaki that often deals in fantasy and magic in creative and interesting ways. I also couldn't help thinking of Witch Hunter Robin. So I would say I would watch the anime of this because it lends itself to some creative imagery. It just didn't hold my interest as a manga.

Love the plot and art in this manga! The banter between the two main characters, Guideau and Ashaf.

This was an interesting read and the artwork is stunning. But it did have a TOO fast paced start. We go right in to a ton of action with little context. But then it does slow down in the second half and gets a lot better. I still have many questions but I’m hoping some will get answered in the next volume.
