3.5 ⭐️! This book definitely felt like an 80s horror movie which I love. The adults are all terrible, absolutely awful honestly (makes sense since it gives horror movie vibes). I liked Abby and Gretchen’s relationship and felt Abby herself was a very strong minded character. It did drag a bit though in some parts despite being a shorter book and the ending fell just a bit flat for me. Overall, a pretty fun read with some cute and definitely gross moments. This was such a good read, very nostalgic as it's set in the 80's, and focuses on the friendship between 2 girls, and then later two of their other friends in high school. I had the sense of where this book was going as soon as I cracked the cover, and for the most part, it went in that direction. What I didn't expect, however, was the direction it would take to get there, and the ending, which really made it for me. This was my second Grady Hendrix book (Witchcraft for Wayward Girls was my first) and I can happily say I'm eager to read more.
