I'm ambivalent about this one. While I enjoyed it on a superficial level, it never really went any deeper than that. I thought London especially didn't feel like a rounded character, the cooking competition was way more background-y than I would have liked, and most of the little crises seemed to dissolve without any conclusion or anyone actually working through something. So what did I like? I liked Dahlia, I liked the side characters, I liked how London's gender was written. I especially liked the joyful parts, they felt really good.
10/5 STARS!!
How did it take me so long to read this book!?! This story was so incredibly moving and so relevant and relatable to what so, so many people are currently going through.
I laughed, I cried, I hurt, and I loved this story immensely. It's so unbelievably worth it!

This book was so cute and I absolutely loved the cooking show backdrop. Both London and Dahlia were compelling and dynamic characters. Their conflict and slow build of their romance also felt very realistic and relatable. My one complaint about this book is that I felt it was a bit too long, but I still think it’s a great read, especially if you enjoy cooking shows!
