Such a cute read and I really enjoyed it even though I don’t really like insta-love this one hit different for me. I liked the plot and the character’s chemistry and the emotional growth they both go through. It was overall, a fun book to read.

Hell yeah for masc nonbinary love interests in romance novels. Plus you’ll love this if you watch The Great British Baking show and have ever thought “this could be more horny and gay.”

İlk defa non binary ana karakteri olan bir kitap okudum. Gerçekten güzeldi ve aşırı sevimliydi. Masterchef temasında olması da ayrı hoşuma gitti.

Top Ten Reasons to Read “Love & Other Disasters”:

10. After watching every cooking show on those streaming services you have, wouldn’t you enjoy reading about one?
9. There is sass and love given to the traffic and crowded tourist-y aspects of LA and it’s great
8. At least one sexy bit that features food. It’s much less messy to read about.
7. Such good sibling feels. Julie and Hank are fabulous. I only wish they had been in the book more.
6. Awkward queer panic about milking a cow for the first time and it’s hilarious.
5. Where else are you going to find breaking down a fish or playing the trumpet described as “sexy”???
4. Proper acknowledgment that the Pacific Ocean is fucking cold.
3. Parental Feels so good you’ll be socked in the guts in the worst (and best) way.
2. The cutest queer flirtations I’ve ever read in my liiiiiiife.
1. The depth of representation in this is so amazing and thoughtful. Not only the obvious nonbinary one in London but also Dahlia as a divorced woman who doesn’t want children. And isn’t exactly sure what the fuck she wants to “do with her life”, even at almost 30. Way to Uno Reverse so many romance novel tropes.

My only complaint: London’s nonprofit obviously should have been named after Dahlia’s collection of elementary aged stories about a summer camp. I mean. Come on.
