A wonderful adaptation of one of my all-time favorite series. These graphic novels have been a good way to get my niece and nephew involved in the series that defined my childhood. Chris handles some of the darker topics in this book in particular re: Tobias's mental health with grace and care... Some of the panels here were just breathtaking... I've never seen a better visual representation of depression, negative thoughts, and mental fractures. But it's not all dark and gloomy... There's levity and wonder, too. Just the best.

Tobias and the other Animorphs strike a blow against the Yeerks when they discover a transport ship schedule. Meanwhile, Tobias struggles with the reality of being trapped as a hawk. An excellent visual adaptation of a very interior book.

The pacing feels a little bit off at points--I really wish there had been given just a bit of space to let the emotional bits of the story breathe for a panel or two. Otherwise I'm really glad to have a visual adaptation for a very difficult book.

I’m absolutely floored by how well Chris Grine has adapted these books so far! I appreciated they corrected false animal facts from the original books, and also loved a page that added a new joke from Marco. This book is a rough one — it’s where we first see just how much Tobias is struggling, and in his first pov book too! Chris did a great job capturing those feelings - using text when necessary, and art when not.

Great adaptation for one of the best books in the series!
