I think going back to revisit this book now would be inadvisable, but I'm rating it from the perspective of my teenage self and the influence it had on me at the time and over time.

It is quite clever in places. I guess some of the puns reach me today, but younger me didn't catch them.

Truth, hidden behind hokey mysticism, hidden behind High Camp Conspirology, hidden behind shock vulgarity, hidden behind utter psychedelia. Distilled essence of the 70s, wild fun, and a crash-course in deprogramming to boot.
