Blood, Demons, and Ghosts, Oh My!
Damn, they killed it!! My only criticism is I wanted more.
Book two starts shortly after book one. This time, our ghost hunters are at Silent Night Theme park, set on an Island. Our Phantom chasers are there to discover the truth of one horrific night. What they found was something more dangerous than Belgrove.
If you loved Bedlam Playground, be prepared to be obsessed with Silent Night Theme Park. I was and am completely ecstatic with the spice turned a notch. C.A. Rene can write some steamy scenes, but these ladies increased the volume.
On top of this is a well-written plot and delivery that flowed from page to page and kept my attention. I will say I did love the back story of Conroy. I’m one hundred invested in all these characters. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

4.5 stars. The Chasers are back! This has plenty of the twists and turns we saw in book one, and a straggler from Belgrove too, and I ate this up. If you've ever read a C.A. Rene book before you know what kind of steam level you're talking about. It brings it and the darkness, it's a teeny tiny bit holiday themed with a haunted Christmas theme park. I cannot WAIT for book 3. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.
You guys did it again! I'm blown away with this series. You take my favorite things and wrap it up into an amazing series that I just can't get enough of. I don't want this series to end!
Silent Night Theme Park follows the Phantom Chasers, James, Nick, Connor & Mary, on their next adventure at a theme park where a tragedy struck right after opening day. The horror behind the tragedy is heartbreaking, especially seeing how many have passed there, but this only makes the chasers want to find out even more what happened. They want to get answers, especially for the family members. With everything that is going with Connor, I'm really happy Nick figured it out. My heart was breaking for Nick to see what Conroy was doing and making me hate Conroy even more. But at the same time finding out the truth about Conroy I now feel bad for him. He only became the devil because people made him out to be one. He deserves peace and I really hope the crew can give it to him. It's so good seeing Mary come out of her shell as well. At Bellgrove she figured out what she likes and what makes her feel good. I don't like how she keeps doubting herself and calling herself sick because it's okay to want something different and I'm glad the boys are helping her with it.
Even with all the twist and turns like a roller coaster and the 2 twists I didn't see coming I loved every second of this book! I can't wait to see where this series goes and especially at their next adventure, Lovers Cove Getaway. Thank you so much C.A. This series has been perfect for my struggling attention span. Happens every year, but this year has been the worst. They're short but the plots are thick and I'm able to read these beginning to end once I get going and even have enough left in me to be excited for the next one.
These are most certainly NOT safe for work or reading around family, lesson learned. I'll do it again I'm sure, because when these come knocking, you answer. I'll admit, I was a little hesitant getting into this one only because I know how short they're going to be. However, I read the first one right before starting Silent Night and it was just as interesting the second round through. I suppose I should have known, but that's my shame to deal with.
Great characters, I'm keeping my favorite close to the chest because I just am not sure what to expect, and plots that are paced perfectly. The imagery is very unique even if spooky stories have been done before. I really am enjoying this series and I know it will look gorgeous on my spooky bookshelf one day!

Well readers the infamous Phantom Chasers are back again and boy oh boy have they struck gold in the ghost adventure. I didn't even have to read the blurb to know I wanted my hands on this book. I'm so hooked.

This is book 2 in The Phantom Chasers and if you remember Connor has brought home a lil gift from Bellgrove and while nobody is the wiser, they have started noticing the lil changes in him and are just knocking it up to what happened at Bellgrove.
But soon thing's are about change as they discover they're not alone and they don't know if they're friendly or to do them harm. This book was just so good I wanted it to keep going to never end. There is going to be a 3rd book, and I so cannot wait for it.

I soooo can't wait for Lovers Cove Getaway!!

I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT YOU GUYS MADE ME FEEL FOR CONROY!!! That was a HUUUGE twist. I swear, it gave me the same feels that I did for Twisty the Clown (AHS: Freakshow)!!!
Dark and creepy
The prologue was the perfect start to the book, it will completely hook you into the story. I would say book 2 wasn’t as dark as the first but still read the trigger warnings before diving in.
While l enjoyed the premise of this story, I feel like there was a bit more background storytelling in the first book. I did like the creepiness factor and learning more about the menacing and inappropriate ghost who has now possessed one of our main characters. His story is surprisingly tragic and you can’t help but feel some sympathy for him. Shockingly.
The book is short but a lot happens. The ending is the perfect setup for book 3 and I can't wait to see what this author duo comes up with next.
