I listened via audiobook and it was very absorbing. However, I knew the killer almost immediately - I thought it was fairly obvious. That being said, I liked the complication of the main character knowing the rapist intimately. I thought that added an extra layer to him and made him well-developed. I really thought all the characters were very three dimensional.. subtracted two stars because I think it should have been less clear who the killer was and because I didn’t like the switching in time

Just okay. Too much ridiculous gore!

First of all, this book has very very graphic depictions of rape and assault in it. Please be careful if you are likely to be upset by these.

Secondly - I wanted to enjoy the book, but my God I got so sick of hearing about Will and Sara and how much they love each other. How wonderful Sara is. It's boring and unbelievable. I really am wanting them to split up now because their tortured yet perfect love story detracts from what should be really good crime novels. Time for new characters maybe - or even better more time with Faith, who's a character one can believe in?
