I am very willingly would’ve given this four stars if it hadn’t had been for the sappy over the top whiny Sara/Will relationship. The story was great, except for that part.

The e-book has some issues with repeating pages and missing pages but the overall story is of course 5 stars.
I loved that we got some Jeffrey. Be still my heart. I was so hurt when he was killed. I had him built as this perfect man (even though they had divorced because of his cheating). Karin took the perfect from me. But he still makes my heart flutter.
And Will. Still the best man for Sara. My heart ached for him. So damaged but wow! So amazingly perfect for her.

And sweet Will. Woooo! I wish he had gotten a chance to hit somebody in this book. Alas. Maybe next book. Because he is so sweet, I love that Ms. Slaughter had Sara go after him and not vice versa.

I already loved Sara Linton from the Grant county series but Will Trent? owns my whole heart. I love them!!! All I want in this world is for them to be happy!!!
I never enjoyed the Will Trent books until I watched the series. I still don't carry for Sara, but Will and Faith are great characters. Solid mystery, and I always enjoy Slaughter's writing.

Ouderwets gruwelijk en de ontknoping had ik echt niet aan zien komen, maar het midden duurde en duurde maar. Dat viel me behoorlijk tegen. De ontknoping krijgt wat mij betreft een ster, anders was ie toch echt op drie sterren uitgekomen.
