This is pretty much the same story from Hopeless but told from Holder's POV instead of Sky's. Thankfully, it isn't completely the same, and Hoover manages to make a same-storyline duology much more entertaining by including letters from Holder to his sister. I did enjoy Hopeless a little more, most likely because I read these books straight after one another, and the areas of the story that were similar were still very fresh in my mind. Ideally, I consider these two books as a whole - they're much more enjoyable when considered together.
