I am a big fan of Sanderson, and the key concepts within White Sand are interesting and clever in the usual Sanderson way. I am, however, unsure if a graphic novel is the best medium for them. There are several very confusing frames where the story jumps all over the place. This feels like it really need to be read as a novel, to allow the characters to develop in a more natural way.

The key concept here is a magic system where people can manipulate sands, at the cost of using up water. Definitely an intriguing tradeoff in a magic system. A classic sandersonian system.

The artwork is fine and the story does flow, but this is one of the weaker Sanderson books so far. I have books 2 and 3 to read, so will have to see if this is suffering from just being the first 1/3rd of a book. It is still Sanderson and a lot better than many more generic fantasy books out there though

As we all know, I love just about anything that Sanderson puts out.

It was so cool seeing his story told in another format, which I have been craving ever since I first read Mistborn: The Final Empire, especially because his magic systems are so intricate. The art is beautifully done and really draws you into the lore of the world.

Kenton is great and I kinda ship him with Khriss???

I want to know MORE about this story set in the Cosmere universe ASAP!

I don't think I like graphic novels very much... I think this planet and its magic is cool but I wish it were a proper book! I think this story missed out on a lot that it could've had if it were written out. Plus maybe my ebook copy wasn't too high-quality because the pictures weren't too clear and it was hard to distinguish a lot of the characters and... what was happening.

For a different format than normal, its a cool change!! Every single magic system Brandon Sanderson creates is so distinct and very cool.

най-епичното приключение, което успя да ми припомни защо толкова много обичам Брандън Сандерсън
