Pues estoy muy sorprendida. Me esperaba al típico protanogista alpha, pero Hudson es muy mono, nada problemático.

this book literally had me audibly gasping twice. not once… TWICE! once was when i kinda pieced together what i thought the plot twist was gonna be and the other was when something was figured out as a result of the plot twist. i know that makes no sense but if you read the book you’ll know exactly what i’m talking about. also a perfumist is such a cool job i want it but i’m terrible with scents. i swear sometimes books have the coolest inventions like authors can we make this a real thing - same feeling after reading the soulmate equation lol. anyway this was a very emotional read at the 80% mark and al though the epilogue was cute, i need to know what happens years down the line. someone call me if there’s a novella, there was just so much uncertainty with secondary characters that im like eek! but yeah nice one.

I mean, this was fine. Except for all of the super outdated pop culture references. Which were especially outdated considering it was written in 2021. It reads like a person born in the seventies wrote it, which would be fine if the main characters weren't supposed to be 27 and 28 respectively. (Who in their 20s knows who the Fonz is? Like, for serious. I barely know who he is, and I'm a decade older.) I also saw the plot "twist" coming a mile away, so this was just an okay read for me.

When Vi Keeland releases a new book, you clear your schedule and that is absolutely what I did with The Invitation! Hudson and Stella jump off the pages and make everything else fade away. Both are overcoming failed relationships and are wary of the other, but watching their connection unfold was beautiful.

Of course there was the Vi Keeland specialty of a curveball, but Stella and Hudson were up to the challenge! I loved this book and read it in one day - you won't regret this one click!

Wow, this story is actually such a mix of so many things, but all good:)
It's an awesome read that really helped me relax when needed. Funny, and sweet, and, ooh, the flirting!
The intro was nothing sort of what I expected and it just rocked! Though, at times it did feel like a Cinderella fairy tale.
Also, I'd like to have a Stella as friend!
