As usual, I fell in love with a book by Vi Keeland. Her characters always suck me in, and her plots always have a little twist.

The hook of this story was fantastic! I loved the crashed wedding idea really got me interested in continuing to read!

I absolutely loved Hudson~ I loved that he wasn't the typical "bad boy" or was opposed to relationships. I loved that he let Stella know his intentions pretty early on. Stella... she was so strong. I loved her independence and fierceness that she possessed.

I always enjoy reading books by Vi Keeland, and The Invitation was no exception!

Another Vi Keeland winner for me. I loved the progression of this book between the two main characters, but I especially loved the relationship between Stella and Olivia!

Stella is down on her luck now that her roommate unexpectedly moved out and her rent check bounced. Shortly after, her ex-roommate receives an invitation to Stella's dream wedding - Stella and her best friend Fischer decide to pretend to be the ex-roommate (Evelyn).

While at the wedding, Stella meets and falls into lust with a very sexy groomsmen named Hudson. She tells him that her name is Evelyn, but he doesn't realize that she is lying until she asks for her last name. Come to find out, the dreamy groomsmen is the guarantor for the wedding and also the brides brother!

After leaving the wedding, Stella apologizes profusely to the bride and sends her a gift. The gift being a homemade perfume that Stella is trying to create a business for. The bride, Olivia, absolutely loves the perfume and asks Stella to meet up. Olivia loves it so much that she wants her to pitch her company to the board of Olivia's VC company to gain a partnership, funds, and assistance with launching her business. Low and behold, the one who makes the final decision for Stella's business proposal is no one other than Hudson himself, who has found himself hating the person who crashed his sisters wedding.

The rest is history between those two! As usual, Keeland's story are full of angst, love and a little bit of tragedy. I felt so bad for both of the MCs when the twist came out (I saw it coming KIND of, but now to the extent - UGH poor Hudson).

I have loved every single Vi Keeland book that I have read and this will definitely not be my last.

4.5 stars. Easy, quick, steamy read! Hudson and Stella’s chemistry was palpable from their first meeting. The twist could be seen a mile away, but I still ate it up anyway. Also, I personally related to Stella on so many levels and just loved her.

A woman crashes a wedding and ends up becoming business partners with the bride and her irresistible brother.

Started off with a fun spark of tension between the two main characters, but then it all fizzled out. There were no conflicts besides Stella being afraid to start a relationship with Hudson. Stella had some challenges involving her business and she Mary Sue’d her way through every single one. There was so much boring, filler dialogue that didn’t move the plot forward because there was simply no plot to be had. The twist at the end was interesting and surprising but not enough to make up for me skimming a solid chunk of the book.

Second book bi Vi Keeland and I must enjoy her romance format and writing, alright this missed the mark a little bit but I should have known that. The plot wasn't that intriguing but I wanted to read something else by her so I picked it up randomly. Not a bad story but not a w inner either

This is what I call a 3am book! This is exactly the kind of book I could stay up to all hours reading over and over.

The whole premise of this book is so unique, I was absolutely obsessed. I just loved the chemistry in this book, it felt like it was pouring out of the pages to me. I love how the Hudson and Stella weren't dependent on each other but supported each other so well. I loved how there was the write amount of drama/content, there wasn't too much and there wasn't too little either and it was written well.

I loved the side characters too and loved how the author took the time to invest into showing their relationships with the main characters. Overall, the whole book was written very well. I am only upset this isn't a series!!

The sheer fact of how all over the place this review should show my enthusiasm for this book.

This isn't my first Vi Keeland book and it definitely won't be my last!

This was a quick read, but not terribly memorable. The pros: both characters are reasonable (ish) adults, they do communicate, the set-up is fun, the office stuff is treated in a manner that resembles professional (ish) behavior. The cons: I didn't fall in love with any of the characters, I was never invested in their romance or their business plans and I mostly read this to pass the time.
