Perhaps it would mean more to the moms in the trenches living with a teenager?

I laughed out loud multiple times, then had to tell all my friends to read this book.

I really enjoyed this book - the second one by this author that I’ve read and really liked. It doesn’t have the predictable story - and is a great description of both the teenage daughter and mother point of view. From my perspective at least having been both. :-)
challenging emotional tense fast-paced

ok i dont think this author has been near a real teenager in the last decade. this girl knows looney tunes characters but not the macarena?? also this mom sucks akgkskgj like YOU are the adult!!! why do you hate your kid!!!

points for the school admissions & AP drama

Very engaging, definitely had some twists. Just didn't love the characters as much as I wanted to.

Mom and daughter relationships are never simple, especially during the teenage years. This was a nice story about a mom and daughter on a college tour that includes a wide range of issues that moms and daughters encounter.
adventurous inspiring reflective medium-paced

Jessica (mom) and Emily (daughter) go on a week-long trip touring East Coast colleges with other students and parents.

I loved 85% of this book. It is told from Jessica's and Emily's perspectives and often they are thinking the exact same thing. However, the ending felt super rushed and left a few plot holes which was slightly frustrating. There were also some side characters that had no bearing on the main plot nor added anything to the story overall so it seemed pointless to read about them. Other than that, it's a easy read which is what I was looking for after reading quite a few heavy books recently.
