Wow - what a great book!!! When her best friend is taken captive, Brynna has to work closely with Rhett and Rebel to return her to safety. What she never intended on was the feeling for both men to overpower her and become something acted upon. The love triangle between the three is hotter than hell and so well written you feel like you are part of it. Overall the emotions, angst and danger that surrounds the reader in this book are top notch and mind blowing. The characters are so beautifully written that there is no doubt in the struggle they go through with the obstacles each one has to overcome to make it all work. This is the best one in the series yet. Once again Angel Payne does not disappoint.

OMG was this book ever HOT!!!! I wasn't so sure about the M/M aspect of the book but Angel wrote it in such classy and beautiful way that I ended up really enjoying it. I'm glad that the 3 found each other and helped each other with their demons and fell in love. This book is so amazing and highly recommend. Beware you WILL need a cold shower after reading this book!!!! 🔥🔥

Received an ARC for my honest opinion

Mastered was hot. Rhett and Rebel was so interesting I really loved their dynamic together and with Brynna. And I loved reading that Brynna tossed Rebel over her shoulder and stunned him to get to go on the mission to try to save Zoe. HOT and so Good. Rebel and Rhett Viking Stud and Pirate Hunk respectfully, are so dominate and sweet I love their nickname of Little Peach.

Wow. Angel Payne has cranked it up a notch in this book.

It’s hot.
It’s dark.
It’s completely addictive.
It’s completely captivating.

It is everything and more I look for in a romance.

Mastered is Book 8 of the Honor Bound series (Previously known as Mastered By The Marvericks - Book 8 The WILD Boys of Special Forces)

In Mastered we have three main charters Brynna Monet, Rhett Lange and Rebel Stafford. We also see Shay and Zoe (Their story is told in Wet - Book 5 of Honor Bound)

This all begins with Brynna, she’s had enough of men, she’s sworn off them all forever. After countless heartache from dominant men, she’s calling it quits, she’s done. No more letting her heart get hurt.

That all went to out the window when her best friend Zoe who’s pregnant gets kidnapped and Brynna finds herself out in middle of no where in Texas with two sexy as hell men named Rhett and Rebel and it doesn’t take long for the chemistry and heat to pick up between the three of them and it’s got Brynna questioning her own choices to go on this mission to find her best friend. Questioning if she can keep herself control and not fall into the hands of these two irresistible men. When her body is singing and craving for their dominance, and nothing more than to submit herself over to them. But she’s in denial, she won’t admit she’s submissive, that she needs the dominance of a man, or men in this case.

Rhett and Rebel are two of a kind. Hot as hell, dominant, strong, fun, and hell bent on showing Brynna that she is in fact submissive and that the two of them are everything her body is craving. They are every girls fantasy in my opinion!

When out in the texas, things start to heat up and things start to get intense, the men play her body and her mind, they unravel her completely, the controlling feeding a hunger she didn’t realise she had inside of her.

While this is all happening, they still continue to try and find her best friend Zoe, and the story starts to take a lot of twists and turns that will keep you second guessing the next move.

Will they be able to find Zoe? Will they find her in time? Will Brynna finally realise these men are what she’s needed? Will she let them in, even though she knows it’s only temporary? or is it?

I loved Shay and Zoe’s story, and adding them into this was perfect... heart breaking, scary and crazy but perfect. I hated seeing Shay in the state he was in when his new born and woman were taken from him. It broke my heart!

This book will most certainly take you on the ride of your life. The way Angel has entwined all these characters together and making their lives cross over is amazing. The way she’s written out the relationship between Brynna, Rhett and Rebel will have you not only on the edge of your seat but it’ll have you squirming!

This book has it all: Heat, chemistry, passion, thrill, drama, fear, suspense,... did I mention heat? Woah, it’s HOT!

It’s a MUST READ and definitely a 5 star from me!

Another FIVE STAR read by Angel Payne. She has quickly become one of my favorite authors and I can promise you, anything you pick up by her, you will NOT be able to put down. Hook, line, and sinker she reels you in.

This series is definitely 17-18+, but they can be read as standalones. I advise for you to read them in order because there is a bit of referencing to previous novels in the series, not enough for you to be lost or truly confused though.

Kellan, Tait, and Lani still hold my heart (Wet), but I felt a deeper connection with Rhett, Rebel, and Brynna. I think this novel really gives a deeper meaning to, and shines a brighter light on, BDSM. Mastered is a wonderful read for a struggling submissive, whether that be with one master, or two.

I think it’s wonderful that we get to see their relationship from all three angles. The emotional turmoil was so much deeper in Mastered and a lot easier to connect with, in my opinion. The emotions that the characters struggled with throughout were so easily identifiable and relatable. Angel did a wonderful job of truly bringing these three to life.

As always, I cannot wait to read more by Angel Payne. I’ve got Bolt waiting for me on my Kindle thanks to NetGalley and Waterhouse Press. Definitely check out Bolt if you get the chance and make sure you read the Honor Bound series as well!

Brynna has sworn off men, especially dominate ones. After being tasked on a mission to rescue her very pregnant friend, she's thrown into a fantasy that's too real to deny. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts, I would've just liked to have seen more of the rescue action, (even though the bedroom scenes were off the charts!). Although this is a standalone book, it's more enjoyable if you've read the series.

Brynna “Brynn” Monet is worried about her friend. What’s happened to Zoe Bommer makes everyone feel hopeless but not helpless. It’s very sad to see how her husband, Shay, is handling things – may also bring a tear to your eye. This story shows how a group of people can pull together in order to get a job done.

Rebel Stafford has an attitude problem. Rhett Lange knows how to work it around the women. I found that the bigger picture was what the group set out to do. The secondary picture was the dance that Brynn, Rebel, and Rhett were doing. In all honesty, at the beginning it was confusing about our two gentlemen. At first I thought they were one and the same until I got further into the story. Almost as if they were twins – but not.

Brynn is our eyes into how this group operates. She keeps us informed as they work their magic or question what they’re doing. We also see that at times she gets confused about what she wants and whom she wants. The author had a tough job because she wasn’t giving us one story but three. She worked her magic by seamlessly weaving the stories and not having one overtake the other. Expect lots of heat and quite a few juicy scenes – you may even find yourself blushing. You can also expect frustration – how is all this conflict going to work out in the end. And speaking of ending, the room I was reading in got really warm, almost needed a fan to cool things down – oh wait a minute that was me.

You could consider this a standalone but there are at least a couple of books you may want to check out. If you want to know more about Zoe than check out her book titled Hot. Then we have Dan and his story is titled Masked. And knowing this series isn’t finished yet; you may want to continue experiencing this group of men and the people that become important to them.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
