i read this in one sitting, and i definitely love aria and luca now; however, the first half of this book was unnecessary because it was only repetition of the previous books, but the second half was DAMN GOOD.

This book made me realize how very much I dislike Aria. Which is another reason why I have a hard time reading books when the heroine is 18. They are so very immature. I mean the point of these mafia books is that the mafia is hardcore and tough. There is no room for deception. Deception is met with death. But Aria takes stupidity and ignorance to another level. Now, she grew up obviously, and her character became more tolerable, but the females in this book aren't my favorites at all.

I'm a huge fan of the alpha male so I love Luca, Matteo, and Romero. Even Growl makes a small appearance and I really liked him. I also really like Fabiano. The only reason I'm actually reading this series is that I accidentally started Twisted Loyalties first. I got about 20% in and felt like I was missing a lot of history. Turns out I was missing this series. I love Fabiano in his book from what I've read.

What I didn't like the most about this book is it is literally a repeat of what we already know from prior books. Sure we see that Dante is having a second child, we see how Luca was really upset with Aria for helping Gianna, we see how Luca was upset with Lily and Romero...but we already knew all of that. This really could've just been a novella giving us an update on where Luca and Aria are currently. We didn't need to rehash everything from 3 months after they got married...sigh

“Even in the darkest hour, you are my light.”

4 stars only because they were being stupid for so long

fomeque 2

I have no words. Luca and Aria are probably my favorite couple in this series. It’s crazy how fast everything went. From their first to eleventh Anniversary. So crazy. Everything was perfect until about 50 percent in. Aria went behind Lucas back AGAIN. Just because she wanted to get Fabiano-her brother. Which was a fail because Dante-such an ass- kind of kidnapped her but not really he was kind enough to let her go. Aria of cause thought that Luca wohnt find anything out but WRONG. Of cause he did. And then they fought or mir like didn’t talk to each other for a good 3 months. Which was honestly very depressing to read. That was the time where she found out she was pregnant and she also lost lots of weight.
I hated that Luca didn’t want anything to do with her because Aria went behind his back. Which I get Lucas point but it still doesn’t mean to ignore your wife for 3 months and almost cheat on her again-which he didn’t do because he was still very much in love with. But on the other hand Aria did go behind Lucas’s back 2 times one for Gianna flee and go to Chicago without Lucas knowing.
Luca is although he is Capo still very possessive and very sweet. When his daughter was born, he didn’t even touch her because she didn’t want to break her. But after 6 years and having a son he is a very good father to his kids. He also never hit his children like his dad did.
Aria is a very strong woman. Even though wife’s of Capos usually stay at home, Aria went to college. She did do lots of dumb shit like betraying Lucas trust several times but he always forgave her. She is a very loving person and a very loving mother to her children.

Future me:
UGH I LOVE THEM.Still my favourite couple but they their fighting could have been avoided with COMMUNICATION and NOT hiding things from one another. Marcella and Amo are cute. I love it

description

"Born in Blood. Sworn in Blood. Maybe I hadn't made a blood oath, but what bound me to him was stronger than any oath. I was bound by love."

Bound by Love focuses on the couple who first introduced us to the Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles: Luca and Aria. They were and still are my favorite couple in this series, so I was excited to be reunited with them again. And how awesome is it that we get a full-length novel instead of a novella? I was a bit scared that I wouldn't love this book as the first one, but the author did such a great job in continuing Luca and Aria's story in a very intriguing way. After an HEA you normally don't get to see the struggles, and everyone knows that especially in a mafia book there are many of those. Cora kept me interested and engaged until the end. I loved seeing these characters interact and also see their POVs of when the previous books took place. Aria's sisters didn't really make it easy for Luca as a Capo, and Aria is of course caught in the middle. She wants to protect her siblings which results her going behind Luca's back.

"There are few good things in our world, Luca, and if you find one, you cling to it with all your might. You are one of those good things in my life."

Bound by Love is a beautiful and also dark contemporary romance. I absolutely loved seeing Luca and Aria grow as a couple and individuals. They have their ups and downs, and sometimes don't know how to handle them, but eventually will always come together because they love each other. Some parts of this book were heartbreaking and I wanted to smack Luca, but looking at how he was raised by his sadistic father, his behavior was the only way he knew how to get through things. I especially loved seeing Aria grow in this book, she became a very strong woman, who sometimes acted before thinking, but always had the best intentions. This follow-up to Luca and Aria's story was done very well, and it makes me even more excited for the upcoming books in this dark, sexy and intriguing world that Cora has created. I think fans of this author/series will be satisfied and enjoy this book.
