The illustrations pushed this book over the top for me. Those big kitten eyes were “sink right into them” cute! I’ve experienced introducing a new cat to a household with older ones. Cherie’s jealousy is all too real. Luckily, harmony came at the end of the book – just like it does, with time, in real life.

Cute story about a cat whose family brings home a new addition - a new kitten - and the cat must adjust to not being the center of attention. Beautiful illustrations, good story, but I've seen it done in new ways.

So dry and the amount of times the author used the cat’s name, Cherie, on each page was borderline ridiculous. Nothing unique, interesting, funny or creative about this book.

Lovely illustrations and fun characters, with a few fun turns of phrase that really stand out in characterization.

The illustrations in this book are GORGEOUS! Just the kind I look for in “keeper” picture books about cats. But while the story between the two cats is good, the writing and execution of the story was not great.

Great picture books for kids about a new kitten joining a household.
