A must read for every parent… and every friend of an attachment style parent

I might not agree with everything this book teaches, but I think it very clearly explains this style of parenting and the benefits and science to back it up. It breaks down the negativity and stereotypes that seem to come with this way of parenting and helps the reader to really understand what AP means, for the parent and for the child who might be lucky enough to receive this kind of parenting.

Really nice confirmation of parenting instincts, but it was s bit too anecdotal for something claiming to be supported by science. I have the feeling that was to make it seem less intimidating to a general audience.

Fantastic book for parents that want to focus on attachment rather than on independency in the infant stages.

With all of my research with hypnobirthing, a lot of these ideas were already on my mind. Well written and organized. I only found this book after giving birth to my first child. While pregnant with my second child, I will read their birthing and pregnancy books.
If my daughter ends up being a high needs child, I’ll read the Fussy Baby book.
Overall, liked the book as it was guided by this couples experiences and eagerness to help other parents.

Admittedly, I did not read this from cover to cover. But the chapters I did pick up and read I found helpful and reassuringly in line with my parenting philosophy.

This was fine. As a not-new parent it seemed redundant to me. Beyond that, it felt that there was some fear mongering (like claiming that all babies are at least partially allergic to formula…?) that felt problematic. I’m tired of parenting books that cultivate and us-versus-them mindset.

Three stars because I do believe attachment parenting to be helpful in some cases, and there were some good tips here. Would not recommend for new or anxious parents, unfortunately. Read it after you have some time under your belt.

I can't praise this book enough. Attachment parenting is natural and traditional....evolutionary common sense.

I agree with this book. Except for co-sleeping, way too nervous to ever do that.
