Ghosts in the suburbia of NC, with all the passive aggressive oppression we're famous for. Delightful

Also I love how kingfisher matches horror with humor.

another hit by T. Kingfisher; i really enjoyed the themes and her writing as always. i definitely thought that it could have done the twist differently and felt the ending crash into me like a car, but there was a lot about it i enjoyed as well.

Delightfully creepy; good build, decent payoff. What I wanted from Moreno-Garcia's Silver Nitrate, I think.

The humor was decent throughout, relationships felt real, and Sam was a cool main character.

the narration made it feel too cheeky to be a true horror book but the descriptions of the underground children were so creepy
